(LAKESHORE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has identified the driver who died as a result of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Essex County Roads 46 and 37 (Gracey Sideroad) Lakeshore, Ontario.

Randy DAUPHIN, age 59 of Blenheim, Ontario died following a collision with a farm tractor occurring at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Sunday December 3, 2017.

The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.

FATAL COLLISION IN LAKESHORE

(LAKESHORE, ON) – On December 3, 2017 at approximately 11:40 a.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Lakeshore Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Essex County Roads 46 and 37 Lakeshore, Ontario.

A Chevrolet passenger vehicle and a John Deere farm tractor collided at the intersection sending the lone occupant driver of the Chevrolet to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver was later pronounced deceased at hospital.

The driver of the farm tractor was not injured.

The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are investigating and the intersection of Essex County Road 46 and 37 (Gracey Sideroad) will remain closed until the investigation is completed.
