Pair busted with meth and cocaine in Belleville

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Thursday January 11th, 2018, at approximately 3:20pm officers from the Quinte West and Central Hastings Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) as well as Tyendinaga Police and Belleville Police Services arrested two persons near Bridge Street West and Sidney Street, Belleville, for drug offences.

During the course of the investigation, and a subsequent arrest, officers located a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the stop and investigation, officers charge the following persons:

Lurenna CHARNOCK, 32, of Belleville

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Crystal Methamphetamine – Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Fail to Comply with a court order.

Jeffrey O’NEILL, 40, of Port Hope

  •  Traffick in Schedule I substance – Crystal Methamphetamine – Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Traffick in Schedule I substance – Cocaine- Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking -Crystal Methamphetamine – Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-  Cocaine – Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

Both persons have been held for a Bail Hearing on January 12th, 2018, at the Ontario Court of Justice 15 Bridge Street West, Belleville.
